Where: (Formerly, this show was held at the Hotel Arizona, 181 W. Broadway Blvd., downtown, but there is no show there this year.)

2009 NOTE:  Arizona Bead Dog wonders why it's been so difficult to nail down information about this show.  It's not coming up on many of the sites that compile information about shows, nor is the show listed in the printed Tucson Show Guide. It's possible the vendors have been consolidated into the GJX show since the two shows were organized by the same promoter.

What: The scope of this show has diminished from years past, and lost some of its vibrancy. For example, just a couple years ago or so, exhibitors lined hallways and conference rooms both on the main floor and downstairs. This year, the downstairs was empty. Nonetheless, if you’re looking for fine finished jewelry and pre-cut stones (diamonds, rubies, emeralds, sapphires), this location has it. The jewelry design and quality is worth seeing here. The majority of items this year were loose, faceted stones. This is not the show for browsing bead strands, although there are some unique ones to be found. This show has it tough because it competes with GJX, which is also downtown and also has fine jewelry, as well as Starr Pass, and of course, the premier finished jewelry and loose stone show, AGTA.

Inside or Out: Inside the hotel.

Parking: The hotel has some limited parking; otherwise, you need to find a meter or another downtown parking garage. Shuttles are available to most locations from centralized points.

Food: A hotel restaurant offers dining opportunities, and there are plenty of eating choices in the adjacent (east) La Placita Village.

Rest rooms: Inside the hotel.
