Where: 1635 N. Oracle Rd. (next to the College Place Property).

What: A really beautiful collection of large-scale mineral and fossil items, such as the petrified wood slabs pictured above. Arizona Bead Dog also saw a 12'-15' high twin amethyst cathedrals, 35-50 space wine-bottle holders (for a restaurant or a large private display), huge quartz crystals on pedestal displays, and large, genuine dinosaur bones. See photo below. Additionally, you'll find sandstone made into all kinds of useful and decorative products (see phote below) as well as Moroccan fossil tubs, sink basins, and table tops; plus there's a vendor who specializes in what Arizona Bead Dog will call oddities: taxidermy animals (heads and entire bodies), a bottle containing a soaked dissection rabbit, ostrich eggs, alligator heads (and there's also a complete alligator), framed insects, and other unusual items. 2009 note: Susan, a buyer from Oregon, told Arizona Bead Dog that this oddity exhibitor has pared down quite a bit in terms of the unusual, but still offers wonderful fossil-based items, such as a great fossil bath tub.) While the vendors are wholesale only, they don't prevent the public from visiting.

(2008 photo of an ancient creature's bones--not a replica--the rest of the body was too long for Arizona Bead Dog to photograph; with permission by the exhibitor Sahara Overland, Ltd.)

Inside or Out: Inside a large buidling that nicely displays all the exhibitors' collections.

Parking: Quite a bit and paved.

Food: None on premises.

Rest rooms: A facility is on premises.
