Where: 1027 N. Main Avenue, located just north of Estevan Park on the west side of Main.
What: 2008 is the show's first year. Don't be put off by the building's exterior; it was recently purchased and the owners are putting in lots of energy, time, and money to get their place in good shape. You can see from the above interior photo that they are well on their way. And a new sign out front shows that they're ready for business. Mineral Zone offers fine and rare mineral specimens to bulk amethyst (see photo below), agates, geodes, quartz crystals, and other minerals. One co-owner earned his Ph.D. in Mineralogy, while the other owner pockets 35 years in the mineral business.

Parking: Free and available inside the Mineral Zone lot, or directly south of the building and north of Estevan Park.

Show hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and by appointment.
