Where: At the corner of 22nd Street and the frontage road, on the north side of 22nd and east side of the highway.
What: 2011: This show presents a combo between TEP & Simpson Street: minerals & fossils, finished costume jewelry, fine jewelry, objects d'art, and beads. If you're a seasoned gem-show goer, visit it to see it for yourself. If you can only make one show this year, I still like TEP, although this is a show to watch since its organizers are experienced. Last year, according to their website, there were approximately 75 exhibitors. This year, they'll have twice the space and also the largest, fully-erected dinosaur of the 2012 show! They will also have upgrades to the space.
Parking: This show had ample parking in 2011, and there's every reason to expect adequate parking this year. The gravel lot was a bit dusty, naturally, and since it's an uneven surface, wear comfortable shoes. For 2012, the show promises asphalt for the interior of the show--which will be far easier on the feet than the loose gravel!
Food: ABD doesn't recall a food vendor from 2011, but you're in the best part of town for great Mexican food just a few blocks away!
Restrooms: Portable, on the 22nd Street side (southern part of the show).
2012 show
dates: Thursday, January 26th through Sunday, February 12th.
Show hours: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. except for the last day.
